RMIT Library holds a great collection of films. Many titles are available for streaming for RMIT staff and students.

    Kanopy is a leading distributor of tertiary educational videos (streaming videos and DVDs) within Australia and this database is a portal to videos which they make available for individual purchase. Major subjects covered include: The arts, business and training, health sciences, media and communication, natural sciences, social sciences, and teacher education. Users can search, browse and see previews of videos.
  • This collection includes television broadcasts recorded under Part VA [Screenrights Licence] of the Copyright Act, and other video files in the public domain, used with permission, or used under licence (such as Creative Commons).

RMIT Library databases and catalogue searching

The RMIT Library subscribes to many databases and provides access to full text publications about film and television. The best way to find articles relevant to your cinema studies courses is to use the Proquest Screen Studies Collection.

Proquest Screen Studies Collection is a comprehensive survey of current publications related to film scholarship alongside detailed and expansive filmographies. This collection includes the specialist FIAF International Index to Film Periodicals Database with detailed and complementary filmographies created by the American Film Institute and the British Film Institute; and Film Index International.
