Whitney Monaghan, our 2019 AFIRC Fellowship winner is presenting at this weeks PopCAANZ conference:
Representing Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Characters on Primetime Australian Television: 1970 to 2000. The research is based on her time spent at The Collection earlier this year. She uncovered so much while she was here and had a great time going through the Crawford Collection materials, Green Guides and the TV Weeks of the 1970s and 80s.
Our very own Alex Gionfriddo is also presenting at the conference- Screening the Australian Film Poster: the AFI Research Collection. This is part of a project Alex and I have been working on related to the amazing poster collection we have at the AFI RC. As part of this project, Alex has interviewed a number of Australian filmmakers and producers, namely John Hughes, Sue Maslin and Tony Ginnane.
