Dr Whitney Monaghan<\/p><\/div>\n

Whitney Monaghan\u2019s project is titled: Queer Television in Australia: Lesbians, Gays and Bisexuals on the Small Screen from 1970 to 2000.<\/strong> \u2018The project examines the rise and fall of LGB representation on prime time Australian television from 1970 onwards in order to understand how key shifts in the politics of Australian cultural life come to influence Australian television broadcasting.\u2019 The AFI Research Collection congratulates Whitney Monaghan for her high-quality fellowship application and looks forward to her research work at the collection. In administering the award the AFI Research Collection would like to thank: the School of Media and Communication at RMIT University for assistance with funding, the AFIRC Committee for their time and support,<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
