Research covers crime in Australia and overseas, type characters, technical and historical context as well as local and ethnic detail. Where possible Crawford Productions' original organisational system has been retained. The files were intially developed for early crime productions such as Homicide and Division Four. Annotations indicate that this early research was added to and used in later crime show storylines. Files are organised into general subjects followed by material connected with specific series in chronological order.
